DGS Metaverse

Student-Built eCommerce-enabled Virtual Campus!

For two years in a row, Scan the World has partnered with the Diocesan Girls’ School to help create the DGS Metaverse for their annual Mini-Bazaar Christmas Market.

Providing 3D Modelling courses for students to create their virtual school campus in hopes these spatial skills will help students in engineering, architecture, and any task that requires an extra dimension in visualization.

Students created virtual assets using 3D modeling and 3D scanning for the virtual campus, Christmas Market products, as well as avatars for visitors to use. Combining the 3D assets into an interactive virtual campus and connecting it to an eCommerce platform gave students a chance to learn about managing an online shop.
